Federal Sales Engineer

Overview:

Gimmal is looking for a strong Technical Sales Engineer to join our Federal Sales organization. Technical Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Technical Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Technical Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both agency, business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Must be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively scopes and aligns technical solutions required to address customer requirements.
  • Provides Federal partner support as a subject matter expert during initial enablement and opportunity support
  • Delivers presentations to prospect technical/management teams to articulate Gimmal Products and Services value proposition through demonstrations conducted virtually and in person.
  • Develops strong customer relationships with Gimmal Federal partner channel.
  • Takes part in marketing activities, such as assisting with demos/presentations, authoring solution scenario white papers, and creating webinars, conferences, and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; related major preferred
  • 3-5 years of sales engineering experience with preferred focus on Federal, State and Local government
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint platform and architecture
  • Proven experience in a technical pre/post sales role.
  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations
  • Refined presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Active security clearance is required
