Quality Assurance Manager

Overview:

Gimmal is looking for a strong Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in St. Louis, MO. A successful candidate will live and breathe QA and should have experience leading both on-site and offshore teams. He or she will lead the QA function across Gimmal to make the team more effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an on-site and offshore team of quality engineers to validate that all sites and systems meet design specifications and requirements of our Gimmal software products.
  • Aid in reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Guide the team in testing practices including stored procedures, jobs and triggers.
  • Help to identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and identify test coverage plan.
  • Ensure success of the team as they develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and automated scripts.
  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Take the initiative to identify any potential quality issues per the defined process, and serve as the point of escalation for these issues.
  • Help to ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.

Qualifications:

Need to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; related major preferred
  • 5+ years of quality assurance experience, the most recent of which have involved leading a team
  • Experience with large enterprise systems
  • Expertise in software testing in Microsoft environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers, and replication.
  • Extensive knowledge around creating clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.
  • Ability to transform and lead a team through significant growth.
  • Ability to liaison with development, project management, and customer support.
  • Refined presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
