SharePoint Developer


Gimmal is looking for a SharePoint Developer to join our Professional Services team.  As SharePoint Developer, you will be a member of the services delivery team, directly contributing to the successful development and implementation of client solutions.  A successful candidate is self-driven, enjoys learning new technologies, and working collaboratively with both internal and client teams.


  • Develop and/or implement performant code according to technical specifications
  • Author requirements, technical design and system configuration documentation
  • Specify, develop and execute unit tests
  • Work with the Gimmal project managers and clients to confirm technical and configuration requirements
  • Contribute in project scrums, report progress and status to internal management
  • Lead and/or contribute as a team member of skilled developers to develop and/or enhance product functionality
  • Develop effective software architecture, enforce good software development principles, and provide technical oversight to others as required
  • Hold code reviews and spend time mentoring other developers


Need to Have:

  • Technical Skills: C#, JavaScript, ASP.Net, Web services, PowerShell, and SQL.
  • SharePoint 2010 & 2013 development experience
  • SharePoint architecture and administration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possesses strong knowledge of software architecture and development principles
  • Experience using Agile and SCRUM methodology

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Services concepts and CS LAPI and CWS APIs
  • Java language development
  • Knockout JavaScript framework
